Converter Modules

The PCF8591 ADC/DAC Module is a compact and versatile analog signal processing board based on the PCF8591 integrated circuit. It combines both Analog-to-Digital Conversion (ADC) and Digital-to-Analog Conversion (DAC) capabilities, making it suitable for a wide range of embedded and sensor-based applications.

The module communicates through the I2C bus interface, enabling simple connection with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, AVR, PIC, STM32, and other microcontroller platforms while using only two communication lines.

It provides four analog input channels that can be configured as either single-ended or differential inputs, along with one analog output channel for DAC applications. The board also includes integrated sensing components such as a photoresistor for light detection and a thermistor for temperature measurement.

An onboard adjustable potentiometer allows the module to generate and measure variable analog voltages between 0V and 5V. LED indicators display power status and DAC output activity for easy monitoring during operation.

With its compact PCB design, low power consumption, and reliable performance, the PCF8591 module is ideal for analog data acquisition, sensor interfacing, signal processing, and educational electronics projects.
