LCD Screen Display 20x4 With I2C, blue

5.0(1 review)
SKU: ME-708
JD6.40

The 20x4 LCD Display Module with I2C Interface (Blue Backlight) is a high-quality character display capable of showing 4 lines × 20 characters of text, perfect for Arduino and microcontroller projects. Featuring a built-in I2C adapter, it dramatically simplifies wiring by using only 2 data pins (SDA, SCL) instead of multiple parallel connections. The blue backlight with white characters offers excellent readability, while the adjustable contrast potentiometer ensures clear display in any environment. Ideal for DIY electronics, sensor data logging, IoT dashboards, and educational projects.

LCDs

The 20x4 LCD Character Display Module with I2C Interface is a powerful and convenient display solution designed for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontroller-based projects. Capable of displaying up to 80 characters at once (4 rows × 20 columns), this LCD is ideal for showing sensor readings, system status, menus, messages, IoT dashboards, and any text-based information your project requires.

What makes this module especially user-friendly is its integrated I2C (IIC) communication interface, which transforms the traditional 16-pin parallel LCD into a simple 4-wire connection (VCC, GND, SDA, SCL). This eliminates the cumbersome wiring required by standard HD44780-based LCDs and frees up valuable GPIO pins on your microcontroller. For Arduino beginners and seasoned makers alike, this means faster prototyping, cleaner builds, and fewer wiring headaches. The module connects directly to the Arduino Sensor Shield V5.0 via its I2C interface using a standard 4P sensor cable.

The display features a beautiful blue backlight with crisp white characters, providing excellent readability in both bright and low-light conditions. The backlight can be enabled or disabled via an onboard jumper, while a dedicated contrast adjustment potentiometer allows fine-tuning the display clarity for the best viewing experience. The module operates on a standard 5V supply voltage and uses I2C address 0x3F (some variants may use 0x27), making it easy to integrate using popular libraries such as LiquidCrystal_I2C.

With its compact PCB size of 60 × 99 mm, sturdy construction, and minimal wiring requirements, this LCD module is perfect for DIY electronics, sensor data display, weather stations, smart home dashboards, robotics, IoT projects, and educational STEM activities.
