High-precision 50 m laser distance measuring module using IR ranging technology. Supports UART control, fast measurements, low power 3.3 V operation, and easy integration with ESP32 or other microcontrollers.
The High Precision 50-Meter Laser Distance Measuring Module is a compact infrared ranging sensor designed for embedded applications requiring long-range and reliable distance measurement. Supporting UART communication, the module integrates easily with microcontrollers such as the ESP32 (Wemos LOLIN32), STM32, Arduino, and similar development boards.
Operating at 3.3 V with a recommended current supply of ~150 mA, the module provides fast and stable readings in indoor environments. Its pinout includes power, enable, UART TX/RX, and a convenient wiring harness with color-coded leads. The measuring process can be fully controlled over serial commands, including laser on/off, single measurement trigger, and module reset.
The sensor uses an infrared emitter—typically around 905–940 nm—making the laser spot invisible to the human eye but visible through a phone camera. Proper wiring requires crossing TX and RX between the module and host MCU, along with ensuring a common ground and the ENA pin held high.
Suitable for automation, robotics, mapping, and position-tracking projects, this module offers a clean and efficient way to obtain long-range measurements with high accuracy and low power consumption.
