The M3×30+6mm Nylon Standoff is a precision-engineered spacer/support post used extensively in electronics assembly. Designed with M3 female threads (or male-female depending on type – typically male on one end, female on the other) on both ends, it allows secure mounting of printed circuit boards (PCBs) to chassis, panels, or other boards. The 30mm body length provides ample clearance between stacked boards or between a board and its enclosure. The +6mm indicates an additional threaded section – often a 6mm long male thread on one end for insertion into a chassis, while the other end has a female M3 thread 30mm deep or vice versa.

The standoff is manufactured from high-quality nylon (polyamide) – an electrically insulating material that prevents unintended shorts between PCB traces and metal enclosures. Nylon is also corrosion-resistant, vibration-damping, and lightweight (much lighter than metal standoffs). It operates in a wide temperature range typical for electronics.

These standoffs are screw-mounted using standard M3 screws (not included). The plastic construction avoids damaging delicate PCB pads or traces. Ideal for both prototyping and permanent installations.
