SKU: ME-277
JD4.50JD5.00

The 4x4 Matrix 16-Button Keypad (Black) is a high-quality rugged plastic keypad featuring 16 tactile rubber-dome buttons arranged in a 4×4 matrix configuration. With clear white markings (0–9, A–D, *, #), durable construction, and a key lifespan of over 1,000,000 actuations, it's perfect for code entry, access control, and embedded user interfaces. Equipped with 0.1-inch (2.54mm) pitch breadboard-friendly pins and four corner mounting holes, this keypad easily integrates with Arduino, AVR, PIC, ESP32, and ARM microcontrollers.

Other Modules

The 4x4 Matrix 16-Button Black Keypad is a professional-grade input device that brings reliable, tactile user interaction to your electronics projects. Built with a durable plastic housing and rubber-dome contacts beneath each key, this keypad offers a satisfying tactile click and key travel with every press, providing both visual and physical feedback to the user.

The keypad is arranged in a standard 4×4 matrix configuration, meaning all 16 buttons can be read using only 8 microcontroller GPIO pins (4 rows + 4 columns). The keys are clearly labeled with molded white characters for excellent visibility and long-term durability — the markings will not fade or rub off like printed labels. The keypad layout includes digits 0–9, letters A–D, and the symbols * and #, making it suitable for both numeric and alphanumeric input applications such as PIN entry, access control, calculators, and menu navigation.

The keypad terminates in a single-row 0.1-inch (2.54mm) pitch header, which is breadboard-friendly and compatible with standard Dupont jumper wires and PCB sockets. Of the 10 solder pads, 8 carry electrical signals while the two outer pads are purely mechanical anchors for stable connection. The four corner mounting holes (2mm diameter) allow the keypad to be securely fastened to project enclosures, control panels, or custom chassis using M2 screws.

With a key lifespan of over 1,000,000 actuations, this keypad is built to last through years of use in commercial, industrial, and educational applications. It is fully supported by the popular Arduino Keypad library, making software integration quick and easy.
