The Right-Angle Breakaway Male Header features 1×40 pins in a single row with 2.54mm spacing. 90-degree bent pins allow horizontal PCB mounting. Breakaway design lets you snap to any pin count (1-40). Made of male pins with standard 0.025 inch square post. Perfect for Arduino shields, sensor modules, and board-to-wire connections. Compatible with breadboards and female headers
The Right-Angle Breakaway Male Header is a versatile connector component for PCB and electronics projects. It consists of 40 pins arranged in a single row (1×40 configuration) with standard 2.54mm (0.1 inch) pitch – the most common spacing for breadboards, perfboards, and Arduino-compatible boards. The pins are bent at a 90-degree angle, allowing the header to be soldered horizontally onto a PCB, with pins extending perpendicular to the board surface. This is ideal for edge connectors, board-to-board stacking where boards are perpendicular, or creating right-angle female header interfaces. The breakaway (also called snap-off) design features scored notches between each pin, enabling you to snap off any number of pins (1 to 40) using pliers or your fingers – no cutting tools required. Each male pin is a 0.025 inch (0.635 mm) square post, gold-plated or tin-plated for corrosion resistance and reliable electrical contact. These headers are commonly used as shield connectors (Arduino Uno shields), sensor module interfaces (e.g., for HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors), or programming ports.
