This controller is compatible with the Arduino ecosystem, allowing developers and hobbyists to customize firmware and integrate additional sensors or functions. The system supports advanced flight features such as automatic return-to-home, waypoint navigation, autonomous missions, stabilization control, and telemetry communication.

The package includes a Ublox 6M GPS module combined with an HMC5883 compass, providing accurate positioning and heading information for navigation and autonomous flight operations. The GPS module uses a passive ceramic antenna and combines serial and I2C communication interfaces for stable connectivity.

The Mini APM V3.1 provides extensive connectivity options including 8 input channels, 8 output channels, GPS interface, OSD support, I2C external compass connection, voltage and current monitoring inputs, USB communication, and power input connections.
