Mini OSD Rev. 1.1 (MinimOSD for Ardupilot Mega) is a compact on-screen display module designed for FPV drones and Ardupilot flight controllers. It overlays real-time flight telemetry data such as voltage, altitude, speed, GPS, and battery status directly onto the live video feed from onboard cameras. Compatible with APM 2.x flight controllers, the module uses MAVLink communication and is ideal for FPV flying, drone monitoring, telemetry visualization, and DIY UAV projects.
The On-Screen Display Mini OSD Rev. 1.1 (MinimOSD) is a telemetry overlay module developed for Ardupilot Mega (APM) flight controllers and FPV drone systems. It receives flight telemetry data through the MAVLink communication protocol and displays real-time information directly on the live video stream from an onboard camera.
The MinimOSD allows pilots to monitor critical flight parameters such as altitude, battery voltage, GPS position, flight mode, speed, heading, and signal status without requiring a separate laptop or ground station display. This makes it highly useful for First Person View (FPV) flying and autonomous drone operations.
Compatible with APM 2, APM 2.5, APM 2.6, and APM 2.8 flight controllers, the module integrates easily through the telemetry port and works with wireless video transmitters and onboard cameras.
Its compact size and lightweight design make it ideal for DIY drones, UAV systems, robotics, aerial photography platforms, and telemetry monitoring projects.
Important Note: The OSD module shares the telemetry communication port with the USB interface on some APM boards. The USB cable must be disconnected from the APM controller before using the OSD module.
