This USB 2.0 RTL-SDR TV Stick uses the popular RTL2832U + R820T chipset to receive DVB-T digital TV, DAB radio, and FM radio. Its real power is Software-Defined Radio (SDR): it turns your computer into a wideband radio receiver for listening, decoding, and signal analysis across a huge frequency range. Includes a USB dongle, antenna, IR remote, and driver CD. Powered entirely over USB bus with ≤1.5W consumption. A favorite of radio hobbyists, makers, and engineers.
The USB 2.0 Blue HD TV Stick is a versatile and affordable digital TV tuner and Software-Defined Radio (SDR) receiver built around the well-known RTL2832U demodulator paired with the R820T tuner chipset. Out of the box, it functions as a digital TV and radio receiver, supporting DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting – Terrestrial), DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting), and FM radio, allowing you to watch digital TV and listen to radio directly on your computer.
What makes this dongle truly special is its RTL-SDR capability. With free, widely available SDR software (such as SDR#, SDR++, GQRX, CubicSDR, and others), the stick transforms your PC into a powerful wideband software-defined radio able to tune across a very large frequency range — typically from around 24 MHz up to 1.7 GHz depending on the chipset. This opens the door to receiving and decoding an enormous variety of signals: FM broadcast, air traffic control, weather satellites (NOAA APT), ADS-B aircraft tracking, ham radio, pagers, AIS ship tracking, ISM-band devices, and much more.
The kit is complete and ready to use, including the USB dongle, a telescopic antenna with magnetic base, an infrared remote control, and a driver/software CD. The dongle connects via a standard USB 2.0 type-A port and is powered entirely from the USB bus, drawing a low ≤1.5W. The antenna connects through a standard 75-Ohm IEC (DIN) connector.
For TV use, the stick offers one-touch auto channel scanning, 6/7/8 MHz auto-bandwidth selection, time-shifting, DVD-quality digital recording and playback, still image capture, and picture-in-picture (PIP). Multi-language installation and application software is supported.
Important note: The bundled CD software and DVB-T TV functions are primarily designed for Windows. For SDR / RTL-SDR use, you'll typically install community drivers (such as Zadig) and SDR software rather than the included disc. DVB-T digital TV reception depends on terrestrial broadcasts being available in your region.
