The Double BTS7960 43A H-Bridge High-Power Motor Driver Module is a fully integrated high-current H-bridge solution engineered for heavy-duty motor drive applications. Built around two BTS7960 high-current half-bridge chips from the NovalithIC™ family, this module provides a powerful, reliable, and easy-to-use platform for controlling DC motors with precision.
Each BTS7960 package integrates a p-channel high-side MOSFET, an n-channel low-side MOSFET, and a dedicated driver IC in a single housing. The use of a p-channel high-side switch eliminates the requirement for a charge pump, which significantly reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) and simplifies the overall circuit design.
The integrated driver IC simplifies microcontroller interfacing by accepting logic-level inputs, while offering advanced features such as current-sense diagnosis, adjustable slew rate, dead-time generation, and comprehensive protection against overtemperature, overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, and short circuits. These built-in safeguards protect both the driver and the connected motor, making the module suitable for long-duty-cycle operation.
With a compact footprint, low on-state resistance, and support for PWM frequencies up to 25 kHz with active freewheeling, this module delivers efficient power handling with minimal heat generation. It works seamlessly with microcontrollers like Arduino, requiring only jumper wires and a suitable battery or power supply to operate. This makes it a cost-effective and robust solution for robotics, electric vehicles, automation systems, and other high-current motor control projects.
