RGB Full Color LED Module

5.0(1 review)
SKU: ME-505
JD0.80

The RGB Full Color LED Module features a plug-in RGB LED with built-in current-limiting resistors, allowing safe and easy generation of millions of colors through PWM control of its red, green, and blue channels. With a common cathode configuration, 5V operating voltage, and a simple 4-pin interface (R, G, B, GND), it integrates effortlessly with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers. Ideal for lighting effects, mood lamps, status indicators, and DIY interactive electronics projects.

LEDs

The RGB Full Color LED Module is a versatile and beginner-friendly lighting component built around a plug-in RGB LED that combines red, green, and blue light-emitting elements in a single package. By independently varying the brightness of each color channel through PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), users can mix and produce virtually any color in the visible spectrum, including pure white when all three channels are activated together.

The module is built on a high-quality FR4 PCB with integrated current-limiting resistors for each color channel, eliminating the need for external resistors and protecting the LED from burnout during direct microcontroller connection. It uses a common cathode design, where the GND pin is shared by all three colors and each individual color is driven from a separate signal pin. This straightforward configuration makes it ideal for direct connection to Arduino's PWM-capable digital pins (such as pins 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, and 11 on the Uno).

Operating at a standard 5V DC, the module consumes minimal power (≤60mA total) and remains stable across a wide temperature range, making it suitable for both indoor decorative builds and embedded system status indicators. The compact PCB measures only about 20 × 15mm, allowing it to fit easily into small enclosures, robotic platforms, and educational kits.

Whether used for mood lighting, smart home indicators, IoT alerts, gaming peripherals, or interactive art, the RGB LED Module delivers vibrant, customizable color output with minimal wiring and effort, making it one of the most popular components for Arduino-based color experimentation.
