Wifi

The ESP8266 Serial WiFi Training Board is a comprehensive development and learning platform designed around the popular ESP-12 WiFi module. The board is certified to both FCC and CE standards and engineered with strong anti-interference characteristics, achieving an impressive open-air communication range of up to 400 meters in line-of-sight conditions.

The board breaks out the full set of ESP8266 GPIO pins directly to easy-access headers, including 3 PWM channels, 6 ADC inputs, and a full-speed UART interface. This makes it ideal for both AT-command-based prototyping and SDK-level firmware development. A metal shielding case is included to raise stability and reduce RF noise during operation.

The board can be used with the included mobile IoT app (Android .APK available, iOS supported), enabling three distinct control scenarios:

  • Direct AP Mode: Use your phone to connect directly to the module's hotspot (default SSID AI-THINKER, password ai-thinker) and control GPIOs, PWM, and switches without any router.
  • Local Network Mode: Join the module to your home WiFi router and control it from anywhere within the local network.
  • Cloud Mode: Once the module is mounted to the remote server, you can control it from anywhere in the world using 2G, 3G, or 4G mobile data.

A built-in ESP8266 FLASHER workflow allows users to easily update or replace the firmware, switching between AT command firmware, custom user firmware, or the manufacturer's IoT firmware. The board can act as a standalone minimum system for ESP-12 testing or as a low-cost learning kit for AT commands and SDK development.
