The TCRT5000 IR Reflex Tracking Sensor Module is a compact infrared reflective sensor module widely used in robotics and automation applications. It combines an infrared emitter and phototransistor to detect reflected infrared light from nearby objects or surfaces.

The module is especially popular in line-following robots, where it can distinguish between black and white surfaces based on light reflection. When an object or reflective surface is detected, the sensor outputs a digital signal that can be directly connected to microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and other embedded systems.

Equipped with an onboard comparator and adjustable potentiometer, the module allows easy sensitivity tuning for different environments and detection distances. Indicator LEDs provide clear power and output status monitoring, while the compact PCB design with mounting holes ensures simple installation in electronic and robotic projects.
