The Keyestudio Micro:bit Smart Home Starter Kit is an open-source educational kit designed to help students, beginners, and hobbyists explore smart home automation and IoT technology. The kit uses the Micro:bit V2 as the main control board (not included) and integrates a wide range of sensors and modules to simulate real smart home scenarios.
The system includes a 1602 LCD display for real-time data output, a DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor, MQ-2 gas sensor for detecting flammable gases, PIR motion sensor, steam sensor, RGB LED module (WS2812), servo motor for door control, and Bluetooth communication. Power can be supplied via USB or solar panels, promoting renewable energy learning.
Programming is done through Microsoft MakeCode, a user-friendly graphical platform that also supports JavaScript and Python. All sample codes are provided, making assembly and experimentation easy while allowing room for customization and advanced projects.
