Machined from high-quality aluminum alloy, the SK8 combines lightweight construction with excellent rigidity — critical for accurate linear motion in CNC routers, 3D printers, laser cutters, and DIY automation rigs. The body is precision-finished and anodized in a clean silver tone, giving it both durability and a professional appearance.

A central 8 mm bore accepts standard linear shafts (such as those used with LM8UU linear bearings), and an M3 clamping bolt on the side compresses the bore around the shaft for a firm, slip-free grip. The base features two mounting holes spaced 32 mm apart (center to center), designed for M5 mounting bolts (sold separately). This standard footprint makes the SK8 a drop-in match for T-slot aluminum extrusion, standard threaded plates, and the bases of most popular DIY CNC and 3D printer designs.

Typically used in pairs to support both ends of a linear shaft, the SK8 ensures the rod remains perfectly parallel to the motion axis, allowing the linear bearings sliding on it to move smoothly without binding. It is fully compatible with LM8UU, LM8LUU, and similar 8 mm linear bearings, as well as SBR8 and SCS8UU bearing blocks when used with appropriate shafts.
