Soldering Tools

The MECHANIC 530 Spray Cleaner is a specialized aerosol cleaning solution designed to meet the demanding requirements of professional electronics maintenance and precision cleaning applications. Manufactured by MECHANIC, a respected brand in the electronics repair industry, this cleaner combines powerful contaminant-removing performance with environmental responsibility. The formula is built around fast-evaporating volatile solvents that effectively dissolve a wide range of contaminants including grease, oil, tar, adhesives, tree sap, flux residues, light oils, fingerprints, and general dirt from delicate electronic surfaces. Unlike harsh industrial cleaners of the past, the MECHANIC 530 is formulated to be environmentally responsible: it is biodegradable, contains no chlorinated solvents (which damage the ozone layer), and includes no petroleum distillates (which are toxic and slow to evaporate). This makes it a safer choice for technicians, the environment, and the equipment being cleaned. Despite its safer formulation, the cleaner does not compromise on cleaning power—it quickly dissolves contaminants on contact, evaporates completely without leaving any residues, and does not corrode plastic or metal surfaces when used as directed. The product is supplied in a 600ml aerosol can with an extra-long spray nozzle, allowing technicians to target specific small areas, internal cavities, and tight spaces that would be difficult to clean with brushes, swabs, or bulk liquids. The mild odor makes it more pleasant to use compared to traditional industrial solvents, allowing for extended use in workshops and repair centers. The cleaner is ideal for post-soldering PCB cleaning, contact and connector cleaning, electrical switch cleaning, mobile phone repair, computer hardware maintenance, and general electronics restoration tasks. It can also be effective in household and office settings for cleaning electronic equipment such as keyboards, remote controls, and computer peripherals.

  3. Attach the extra-long nozzle to the spray button if cleaning narrow spaces or internal cavities.
  4. Hold the can 15-20 cm away from the surface and spray the cleaner directly onto the contaminated area.
  5. For tough residues, allow a few seconds for the solvent to penetrate the contaminant.
  6. Wipe away dissolved residues with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab if needed.
  7. Allow the surface to fully evaporate and dry before powering on the equipment.
  8. Replace the cap after each use to prevent accidental discharge.

Safety Warnings

CAUTION — COMBUSTIBLE PRODUCT:

  • Do NOT spray near sparks, heat sources, or open flames.
